Frequently asked questions

What is Duck Intel Academy?

A free educational index that organizes 842 research, security and AI resources into 25 categories and explains, in plain language, how to use each one. The duck is our mascot — no captions, just vibes.

How does the precision search work?

Every word you type must match (AND logic). Use "quotes" for exact phrases, type:gh/type:web to filter repos vs websites, cat:08 to scope to a category, and name: to match tool names only. Results are ranked: name matches beat URL matches beat description matches.

Is the site free?

Yes. The index itself is free; each linked third-party resource has its own pricing and terms — many are completely free or open source.

Are these tools legal to use?

Public-record research and defensive security work are generally lawful. Only test systems you own or are authorized to test, comply with each tool's terms of service, and follow your local laws.
